PGA Aluminium proudly supplies 98% aluminium ingots, with additional options in 95% and 99% recycled aluminium purity.
PGA Aluminium proudly supplies 98% aluminium ingots, with additional options in 95% and 99% recycled aluminium purity. These ingots can be custom-sized and weighed to suit specific industrial requirements, ensuring reliability and flexibility for various applications.
Low Density (~2.7g/cm³): Aluminium is about one-third the weight of steel, making it ideal for industries requiring lightweight materials, such as aviation and transportation.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Naturally oxidizes to form a dense Al₂O₃ protective layer that resists atmospheric corrosion without the need for paint. This can be further enhanced through anodizing.
High Electrical Conductivity: About two-thirds that of copper, yet due to its lighter weight, aluminium is often preferred for wiring—offering reduced heating and greater efficiency.
Outstanding Ductility: Easily drawn into wires, sheets, foils, or extruded profiles for uses such as window frames or heat sinks.
Low Melting Point: While advantageous for casting, it limits the use of aluminium at temperatures above 300–400°C.
Moderate Strength and Hardness: Typically combined with alloying elements to enhance structural performance.
Wrought Alloys
Divided into heat-treatable and non-heat-treatable types
Commercially pure aluminium (>99%) is used in chemical, food, refrigeration, and electrical sectors (e.g. AA1060, AA1350)
Common alloys include Al-Mn and Al-Mg for better strength and corrosion resistance
Casting Alloys
Al-Si (Silumin) and Al-Si-Mg(Cu) systems
Widely used in automotive applications such as pistons and engine covers due to excellent castability and mechanical strength (e.g. AA390.0)
With a commitment to quality and sustainability, PGA Aluminium’s recycled ingots are trusted by industries nationwide for high-performance aluminium applications.
